Flowering Elbow Workshop Membership

As you’ll know if you’ve been following the blog, we’re in the process of setting up a new Mid-Wales workshop, in which all kinds of exciting making/ learning/ inventing type jazz will occur. It’s going to be great, awesome, magical, inspiring, and a fantastic resource for makers, hackers, crafters and everyone else who fancies having a go…

We’re talking big stuff, or at least beyond the kinds of things you can get into your average shed/ basement/ bedroom workshop. Milling, drilling, sawing, welding, plaining, and turning – we want to be able to do it all, and bring those creations to life. Of course we are already planning the rep-rap and cnc machine builds and other exciting custom tools that will come later. All this will give us, that is the Flowering Elbow collective – which could include you – the ability to re-work and upcycle the materials that get thrown away all the time. Metal, timber, plastics, electronics, fabrics: the only limit is our imagination….

This is going to be a place that sparks the imagination too, somewhere to check out the growing ‘inspiration library’, meet other like minded people, work on your pet project, or formulate your next fantastical creation.

Being a member

Once the workshop is fully functional we’ll be offering a range of options and opportunities to use the facilities there. The ideas so far range from taster sessions, pay-monthly memberships, project-life memberships, and a system of building workshop time credit by helping out on the many workshop jobs that want doing.
